Quality & Claims Policy

Effective Date: July 2026

Overview

At Mecaltex, we pride ourselves on delivering high-end Precision Metalworking and Custom CNC Services. Because our manufacturing processes are tailored to the exact specifications and technical drawings provided by our B2B clients, standard consumer "cooling-off" periods or discretionary refunds are strictly not applicable.

This policy governs our quality assurance standards, warranty limitations, and the strict procedures for filing a non-conformity claim.

1. Quality Assurance and Warranty Scope

Compliance with Specifications: We guarantee that all manufactured parts will strictly conform to the technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications agreed upon in the written Order Confirmation.

Remedy for Defects: In the event of a proven manufacturing error on our part, Mecaltex limits its responsibility to the repair or replacement of the defective merchandise.

Liability Cap: Under no circumstances will direct financial refunds be issued. Our civil liability is strictly capped at a maximum amount equal to the invoiced and received value for the specific defective material.

2. Exclusions of Responsibility

Mecaltex assumes no liability, and warranties are entirely void, in the following scenarios:

  • Client-Supplied Materials: Defects or machining failures arising from raw materials provided directly by the Buyer.
  • Engineering Errors: Flaws resulting from inaccurate technical drawings, incorrect tolerances, or engineering decisions imposed by the Buyer.
  • Wear and Tear: Non-conformities resulting wholly or partly from the normal wear and tear of the product.
  • Improper Use: Damages caused by abnormal handling, incorrect assembly by third parties, or usage contrary to the part's functional destination or industry standards.

3. The 1% Tolerance Rule

  • Industrial Standard: Due to the inherent variables in large-scale custom machining, no penalties, indemnities, or non-conformity claims will be accepted or processed if the non-conformity rate is equal to or less than 1% of the total volume specified in the Order Confirmation.

4. Strict Claim Procedure (48-Hour Window)

To maintain operational efficiency and accountability, all claims must adhere to the following rigid procedure:

  • Immediate Inspection: The Buyer is obligated to inspect the conformity of the finalized products before they leave Mecaltex’s facilities or immediately upon delivery.
  • 48-Hour Deadline: Any detected non-conformity, defect, or missing item must be formally claimed in writing within 48 hours subsequent to the receipt of the merchandise.
  • Forfeiture of Rights: Claims submitted after the 48-hour window will not be accepted under any circumstances. Additionally, Mecaltex will reject any claims if the merchandise has been further damaged, altered, or processed by the Buyer after delivery.

5. Delays and Force Majeure

  • Exemption from Penalties: No penalties or indemnities for production delays can be applied to Mecaltex when such delays are caused by events beyond our direct control, including but not limited to machinery breakdowns, raw material shortages, or carrier-related delays.
